If FG Has Not Announced The Resumption Date Within 2 Weeks, The Students Threaten To Protest

Nigerian college students have threatened to protest if the federal government does not announce the resumption of all educational institutions in the next two weeks.
Since March, due to the outbreak of Covid-19, Nigerian students have been at home since the Nigerian school closed.
They condemned the FG’s decision to cancel the 2020 West African Secondary School Certificate (WASCCE) exam.
According to the students, WASSCE can be written while observing social distance and other security protocols.
“It is hardly possible that the coronavirus will be eradicated in a fortnight and after months of observing several security measures, the results recorded to date are weak or nil.
“Huge funds have been used to contain the spread of the virus, but we still have ill-equipped medical centers across the country,” they said.
The students also urged the federal government to suspend the salaries of university professors and other government officials for advocating the continued closure of schools without proposing solutions to the Covid-19 pandemic.
